Anatomical Gift of Entire Body
A gift of the entire body must be in writing and must be made at least 15
days prior to the donor's death.
Gifts of the entire body made less than 15 days prior to death also require
consent from the donor's legal next of kin.
When the donor has adult children who are not also the surviving spouse's
children, their consent is also required for a gift of the entire body for
anatomical study.
Without proper consent from the appropriate family members, a gift of the
entire body that is made less than 15 days prior to the date of death is
invalid.
