Anatomical Gift Directive Prohibiting
Gifts
If a decedent has not provided any
instructions about his or her preferences for personal anatomical gifts,
Pennsylvania entitles others to make anatomical donations for that person at
the time of death.
Although a decedent may not have wished to make any anatomical gifts, the
law grants specific people the right to make gifts of the deceased's body if
they do not have any instructions from the decedent that refuse personal
anatomical gifts.
