Anatomical Gift Directive, When Effective
A properly executed Anatomical Gift Directive is immediately effective. Although the document may be delivered to any chosen individual or donee prior to death, delivery is not necessary to the document's validity.

Of course, even though the document is effective immediately, its terms cannot be followed until the time of the donor's death and may be amended or revoked at any time beforehand.
