Anatomical Gift Directive Witnesses, Generally
Each Anatomical Gift Directive must have two subscribing witnesses. The witnesses' role is mainly to observe the donor's mental competence and the circumstances surrounding the execution, in order to relate these events to others if the document's validity is questioned.

The witnesses must be present and observe the donor apply his or her signature to the document, as well as observing the other witness signing the document.

An Anatomical Gift Directive that has not been properly witnessed is not valid.
