Alternate Executor
A person or entity designated by a will to serve as the personal representative, in the event that the primary executor does not serve.
The alternate executor may serve at any time when the primary executor does not serve, even after the primary executor has begun the administration of the estate.
Also known as a "Contingent Executor."
