Disclaim
A refusal to accept property which is not yet owned, particularly a refusal to accept a testamentary gift.
The election to disclaim property received by will or intestacy must be filed with the Orphans' Court, as well as with the personal representative. The disclaimer of real property must also be filed with the Recorder of Deeds for the county where the property is located.
