Personal Representative
A person or entity who manages the
decedent's
estate as the
executor or the
administrator.
The personal representative is responsible for gathering and accounting for
the decedent's assets, payment of the decedent's debts, ensuring payment of
all death taxes, and
distributing property to the
beneficiaries or
heirs.
