will
A legal document containing personal instructions that are only intended to
be followed at the time of the creator's death.
These instructions typically relate to the distribution of the
testator's
estate, but may also be used to
give additional instructions such as designating a
guardian of the person for
minor children and establishing
testamentary trusts.
Although a will is a legal document at the moment it is properly
executed, it is not effective
until the testator's death and may be changed at any time beforehand.
