Living Will, Life Insurance
Life insurance existing on a
principal's life cannot be
impaired or invalidated by the principal's death resulting from withholding
or withdrawing
life-sustaining treatment according to the terms of his or her
living will.
Pennsylvania requires any existing life insurance policy to be paid
according to its original terms. Pennsylvania also prohibits a
person's ownership of a living will from affecting his or her ability to buy
life insurance.
