Living Will, Suicide and Homicide
Pennsylvania law specifically mandates that withholding or withdrawing
life-sustaining
treatment from a
principal according to the terms
of the principal's valid living
will
does not constitute suicide, under any circumstances.
Similarly, compliance with the terms of a valid living will does not
constitute homicide by the
health care providers who are acting according to the principal's
instructions.
