Agent, Compensation
Pennsylvania provides all agents acting under a valid power of attorney with the right to receive reasonable compensation for performing their duties.  The amount of compensation that is reasonable is based upon the actual responsibilities that are assumed and performed under the power of attorney, which differs with each agent and each power of attorney.

Pennsylvania also allows the principal to deny the agent's right to compensation, but the power of attorney must contain specific language to indicate this denial.

All agents are also entitled to reimbursement for the actual expenses incurred while performing his or her duties. Unlike the right to compensation, this right may not be denied or diminished by the power of attorney.
